Hivemind is operated by an individual sole proprietor based in Canada. These terms are written to be read rather than to be long.
Hivemind stores short pieces of context you choose to save and returns the relevant ones to the AI tools you connect. You reach it through a web dashboard, a browser extension, a command-line tool, an MCP endpoint and a REST API.
You sign in with Google or GitHub. You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your API keys private. A key is a credential: anyone holding one can read and write your memories. Revoke keys you no longer use from Settings → Connected tools.
You must be old enough to form a binding contract where you live. One person, one account — accounts are not for sharing between people.
You keep all rights to everything you store. We claim no ownership and no licence beyond what running the service requires: storing your content, indexing it so it can be retrieved, and sending it back to you and to the tools you have connected.
We do not train models on your content and we do not sell it or share it with advertisers. What we do and do not store is set out in the Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.
Rate limits exist so one credential cannot consume capacity everyone shares. They are published in the documentation and may change.
The Free plan is free and limited. Paid plans are billed in advance through Stripe, monthly or annually, and renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel at any time from Settings → Billing; access continues to the end of the period already paid for.
Thirty-day refunds, no questions asked. If Hivemind is not useful to you, email within thirty days of a charge and it is returned in full. You do not have to explain why.
Prices may change with at least thirty days' notice, and never for a period you have already paid for. Taxes are handled by Stripe as merchant of record where applicable.
No uptime guarantee is offered, and none should be inferred. Hivemind runs on Cloudflare's network and is maintained by one person. There will be maintenance windows, and during some of them the service will be read-only — your saved memories remain readable, and writes are refused with a clear message rather than lost.
Support is by email and GitHub Discussions, answered on a best-effort basis. No response time is promised.
You may delete individual memories, whole folders, or your entire account at any time from the dashboard. Deleting your account removes your memories, documents, folders, threads and keys.
If Hivemind is ever discontinued, you will be given at least sixty days' notice and a way to export everything before anything is deleted.
An account may be suspended for breaching section 4, for non-payment, or where required by law. Where the circumstances allow it, you will be told why and given a chance to put it right first. Suspension for non-payment does not delete your data.
The service is provided as is, without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent the law allows. Retrieval is statistical: it returns what it judges relevant, and it is sometimes wrong. Do not rely on Hivemind as the only copy of anything you cannot afford to lose.
To the extent permitted by law, total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of the amount you paid in the twelve months before the claim, or CAD $50. Neither party is liable for indirect or consequential loss. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
Material changes will be announced by email to the address on your account and noted here with a new date, at least thirty days before they take effect. Continuing to use Hivemind after that means you accept them; if you do not, you may cancel and request a pro-rated refund.
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada, and the courts there have jurisdiction. This does not remove any consumer-protection right you have where you live.
